Recently, Wuhan Jindian Technology received an after-sales service request from a client in Jiangxi. Communication revealed a cable fault on the client's project, requiring our after-sales team to cooperate using our cable fault tester to locate the fault. We responded immediately, dispatching experienced technical engineers to the project site.
Product Introduction
The NR4100 cable fault tester is a comprehensive cable fault detection instrument. It can test high-resistance flashover faults, high and low resistance grounding, short circuits, and cable breaks and poor contacts. When equipped with an acoustic ranging instrument, it can accurately determine the precise location of the fault. It is especially suitable for testing power cables and communication cables of various models and voltage levels.

Fault testing is safe, fast, and accurate; the instrument uses low-voltage pulse and high-voltage flashover methods for detection, and can test various cable faults, especially flashover and high-resistance faults in cables can be tested directly without burning through; if equipped with an acoustic ranging instrument, the precise location of the fault can be accurately determined;
High Testing Accuracy
The instrument uses high-speed data sampling technology, with an A/D sampling speed of 100MHz, giving the instrument a reading resolution of 1m, and a detection blind zone of 1m;
High Degree of Intelligence
Test results are automatically displayed as waveforms and data on a large-screen LCD, making fault judgment intuitive; it is also equipped with a full Chinese menu display operation function, eliminating the need for special training for operators;
Waveform and parameter storage and retrieval functions;
Non-volatile components are used, and waveforms and data are not easily lost after shutdown;
Dual-trace display function;
The test waveform of the faulty cable can be compared with the normal waveform, which is helpful for further fault judgment;
Waveform expansion scale function;
Changing the waveform scale allows for expanded waveforms for precise testing;
The position of the dual cursor can be arbitrarily changed, directly displaying the direct or relative distance between the fault point and the test point;
The propagation speed can be modified at any time according to the different cables being tested;
Small size and portable design, with built-in rechargeable battery power supply, convenient for carrying and use.
Upon arriving at the project site, after the technical engineer learned about the situation in detail from the client, they immediately started the test, following the client along the cable laying location to search one by one, and guiding the client in the use of the cable fault tester during the inspection.
After two days of investigation, the fault point was finally successfully located, and the client immediately arranged personnel for repair. This concluded the after-sales service successfully!
