Ultra low frequency insulation withstand voltage test is an alternative to power frequency withstand voltage test. Due to the large capacitance of large generator, cable and other test objects, large capacity test transformer or resonant transformer is required for power frequency withstand voltage test, resulting in large volume and weight of equipment and extremely inconvenient on-site use. The experiment shows that using 0.1Hz ultra-low frequency withstand voltage test instead of power frequency withstand voltage test has agreed equivalence, and the equipment has small volume, light weight and convenient field use.
